One of the main objectives of the ADECOSE Foundation is to encourage promotion, equality and leadership of women in the insurance sector, specifically in insurance brokerages. The first step is to find out the percentage of women who hold positions on boards of directors, management bodies and management teams.
For this reason, ADECOSE asked the Directorate-General for Insurance and Pension Funds (DGSFP) to differentiate employees by gender within each job category in the Statistical Accounting Documentation (DEC) completed annually by brokerage firms.
This is the best way to measure the gender gap and for insurance intermediaries to start working on initiatives to combat the lack of equity in management positions.
